  • All international students in a recognized Canadian institution of learning

  • Under the age of 69

  • Be in good health 

  • Foreign Nationality, not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada 

  • Student’s spouse or dependent child and are living in Canada with student 




  • Maximum liability: $5,000,000 CAD 

  • Minimum amount: $25 per policy 

  • Maximum period of coverage: 365 days (renewed for subsequent semesters by RPINTL team. 

  • Emergency Medical coverage while in Canada,  or Emergency treatment outside Canada provided at least 51% of the period  is spent in Canada (excludes expenses incurred in Home country visits)

  • Pre-existing Condition Covered: If stable 90 days prior to the effective date of the policy



  • Hospital care: semi-private room

  • Physician charge: treatment by a legally qualified physician, surgeon and  Anesthetist

  • Registered graduate nurse: up to $12,000

  • Diagnostic service: laboratory tests and X-ray examination by prescription

  • Medical appliances: crutches, hospital bed, splints, canes, sling, trusses, braces                                       

  • Prescription drugs: Max $10,000. Limited 30 day supply 

  • Paramedical service: chiropodist, chiropractor, osteopath, physiotherapist, podiatrist up to $600 per practitioner provided a minimum of 183days of coverage has been purchased

  • Dental service: accidental injury to natural teeth to max $4,000/ relief of pain up to $600/ extraction of wisdom
    to max $150 

  • Maternity: pregnancy after the effective date of insurance up to $25,000. (Excludes childbirth, abortion) 

  • Out-patient: psychiatrist, psychologist or physician providing psychiatric treatment up to $1,000 

  • Family transportation: up to $5,000

  • Repatriation: When approved in advance and arranged by Ontime Care.


Non-Emergency Treatment   

  • Annual medical exam up to $150 (minimum one year purchased)

  • Annual eye exam up to $100 (minimum one year purchased) 

  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment 

  • Maximum: $100,000 as a result of an accident.
